All praise for Allama Iqbal on his 76th death anniversary

Lahore: Allama Iqbal gave the idea of Pakistan and promoted social awareness among the Muslims of the subcontinent regarding the concept of Islamic nationalism through his poetry.

The basis for the philosophy of nation and Ummah is faith and Iqbal drew his inspiration from the Holy Quran and love for the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him).

These views were expressed by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit Baltistan, Barjis Tahir, Parliamentary Secretary Information and Culture Rana Muhammad Arshad and other speakers while addressing 76^th death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal at Shuja Din Hall, Govt. Islamia Girls College Cooper Road.

The function was presided over by the Principal of the college Farzana Shaheen. Dr. Akram Ikram, Dr. Ijaz Butt, Hanif Shahid, Amjad Warraich, Rahat Zulfiqar, Dr. Parveen Khan, Syed Asad Ullah Khan, teachers and girl students expressed their views about the philosophy and ideology of Allama Iqbal. Later, fateha was also offered for the departed soul.
