DCO leads dengue awareness walk in the city

Lahore: Chairman Town Emergency Response Committee Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmed MNA has directed officers and officials of Samanabad Town to take precautionary measures and create awareness among the people of the area regarding anti-dengue. He said that those places should be checked especially where dengue larva was found during previous season.

He was addressing the participants of a walk held regarding eradication of dengue from WASA Mor Gulshan-e-Ravi to Moon Market at Samanabad Town today. Prominent personalities of Samanabad Town, Town officers and people belonging to all walks of life participated in the walk.

He directed that the steps taken previous year for eradication of dengue should be implemented in letter and spirit. He directed that special teams should be constituted for checking all godowns, shops, junkyards, offices, schools, colleges and tyre shops. He stressed upon the people to play their due role for supplementing government efforts for eradication of dengue.

Pamphlets and broachers carrying precautionary measures were distributed among the people, participants of the walk and riders of motorcycles, rickshaws and cars for creating awareness among them regarding eradication of dengue.
