Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, by completing Walton flyover project within 60 days during his present tenure, has maintained his record of speedy completion of uplift projects within the shortest possible time.
It is the first project of Punjab government which has been completed within a very short period during the present tenure of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
The project is a beautiful combination of 6-7-8 as it has been completed within 60 days at a cost of 70 crore rupees while its length is 872 meters. More than 1.5 lakh vehicles coming from Walton and Defense areas will pass over this flyover.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while talking to media after inauguration of the flyover said that work has been carried out on this project round the clock and concerned institutions have displayed teamwork for the execution of the project. He especially lauded the performance of DG LDA and said that he is like his younger brother and is very honest and hardworking and due to this fact he has been awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the government.
While talking to the media ,Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said the attack on a senior journalist Hamid Mir is tragic and highly condemnable. He prayed for early recovery of Hamid Mir.
He said that the federal government will conduct inquiry into the incident and ensure punishment to the culprits. He said that the elements involved in this heinous act will soon be apprehended and brought to justice so that no one could dare attack journalists again.
Members Provincial Assembly Ramzan Siddique Bhatti, Mian Naseer, Chief Secretary, Vice Chairman Lahore Development Authority Khawaja Ahmed Hasaan, Chairman Planning & Development, Chairman NASPAK, Pakistan Muslim League-N office-bearers and concerned officers were also present. Director General LDA Ahad Khan Cheema gave a briefing to the Chief Minister on Walton Flyover project.
