Provincial Cooperative Bank branches are online now:Iqbal Channer

 Lahore: Provincial Minister for Cooperatives, Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that online, email and internet facility has been provided at all branches of Provincial Cooperative Bank. He said that ATM and Phone Banking facility will soon be provided at the branches of the bank all over the province. He said that PPCBL has started issuing loans from April 15 for Kharif Crop 2014. He said that loans are being given to small farmers through cooperative societies according to their requirements, for which, bank has allocated Rs.2.50 billion for this purpose.

He said this while presiding over a departmental meeting. Iqbal Channar said that Provincial Cooperative Bank is the only scheduled bank of the country which is going to complete its hundred years’ successful journey. He said that bank has earned 315 million rupees profit from July 2013 to December 31, 2013 and paid special attention to the recovery of loans particularly previous loans. The Provincial Minister told that bank auctioned properties of 14735 defaulters. He said that bank has also recovered 883.52 million rupees from July 2013 to March 2014. He said that the hard working and honest officers and officials will be encouraged at every level.
