Lahore: Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is determined to give the gift of peace to the nation as the dream of progress and prosperity cannot be realized without tranquility in the society.
He was talking to media after inauguration of an exhibition of paintings and pictures by the students of a special educational institution OASIS at Sharif Educational Complex in Jati Umrah Raiwind today.
He said that Prime Minister’s policy to take all political parties into confidence over national issues including terrorism is reflective of national unity and stability of democracy. He said that a democratic attitude has been promoted among politicians and political parties during last few years and they sit together and discuss national problems and the meeting between the Prime Minister and Asif Ali Zardari was a part of this process.
He said that democracy is the destiny of the country and the key to progress and prosperity. He said that every Pakistani loves Pak Army as it has rendered supreme sacrifices in the defense of the country and elimination of terrorism. He said that Jawans of Army and police who have laid down their lives are national heroes. He said that all national institutions including parliament, judiciary and army should be strengthened as it is essential for stability of democracy and national development.
Chairperson of the school Ayesha Imran and the Principal were also present on the occasion. Special children presented bouquets to the chief guest on his arrival at the institution.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that the persons working for the betterment of special children are earning the blessings of Allah. He said that special children can be made useful citizen of the country by imparting them proper education and training. He said that philanthropists should play their due role in this noble cause. He said that OASIS, which had been set up by his grandfather Mian Muhammad Sharif at Sharif Educational Complex for the training and education of special children, is playing a leading role in this direction.
He said that efforts for the welfare of special children are highly commendable. He said that an endowment fund has been set up with two billion rupees for the youth of far flung areas who displayed their talent during youth festival and they will be provided opportunities to move forward.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also visited various sections of the school and evinced keen interest in the paintings and pictures made by the special children. He also commended the efforts of school administration and teachers.
