Welcome dinner for GCU Physics students

Lahore: The Government College University, Lahore Department of Physics has hosted a welcome dinner for its newly-admitted students.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman was the chief guest of the event, while Professor Rafi Chair Prof Dr Zikria Butt, Physics Department Chairman Prof Dr Riaz Ahmed, faculty members and students were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rahman said the student societies and dedicated teachers remained the strongest pillars of the Government College University Lahore in its journey of 150 years and produced great alumni like Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Fiaz Ahmad Fiaz and Prof Dr Abdus Salam. “Literary works and achievements of these great Old Ravians are like lampposts which guide us to peace and progress,” he added.

Later, the students presented sitcoms and played different indoor games to entertain the audience.
