Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited Thatha Sialan affected area due to erosion by River Chenab near Muzaffargarh and reviewed damages due to erosion.
He directed that emergent measures should be taken for checking erosion by the River Chenab and Commissioner DG Khan, DCO Muzaffargarh and heads of concerned departments should personally supervise the work.
The Chief Minister mingled with the local people on the occasion and assured them that Punjab government is taking immediate necessary steps for resolving their problems. He said that approval has been granted by federal government of a special project for checking erosion.
Talking to local people, the Chief Minister said that “Tusan Fikar Na Karo Kal Ton Kam Shuro Kar Deson”. The residents of Thatha Sialan, expressing their feelings over the talk of Chief Minister in Seraiki, said in reply “Tohada Bahon Bahon Shukria Keh Tusan Sada Hall Chavan Aey Way”.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed the administration to start measures on emergent basis for checking the increasing erosion by River Chenab.
