Lahore: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Human Resource Wing of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) and National Testing Service (NTS) in presence of the Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer at Rescue 1122 Headquarters on Thursday for third party testing and assessment of candidates to ensure transparent recruitments in Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122).
According to this agreement, the NTS shall develop application form; carry out short-listing of candidates, issue roll number slips, conduct exams, provision of results to Rescue 1122 and issue call letters for physical & skills tests and shall supervise the physical screening and physical tests of the passing candidates. The NTS shall further conduct emergency rescue skills tests of drivers on vans for LTV and trucks for HTV drivers, voice clarity with softness and computer skills tests for computer telephone wireless operators. The National Testing Service shall further conduct psychological assessment of shortlisted candidates having cleared all the above stages/ tests.
DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer said on this occasion that this step has been taken to further ensure efficient; transparent and international standards in order to access the competency of candidates for recruitment purposes. He further said that the signing of MoU shall help the emergency service for selecting right staff for the right job, as when you are serving in emergency department then you must be physically fit; with healthy mind and should be motivated to save lives.
Earlier, an MoU was signed during a simple ceremony attended by DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Director (Admin) Brig. Dr. Arshad Zia, Deputy Director (HR) Dr. Foaad Shahzad Mirza, and NTS officials including Regional Head, NTS, Mohammad Javed and Regional Marketing Officer, NTS, Fahad Ahmed Ali.
