Kh Salman mixed up with special children at annual prize distribution of Special Education Centre

Lahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that welfare and rehabilitation of special children is a collective responsibility of government as well as the society. He said that philanthropists and well-to-do people should come forward for the welfare of humanity. Khawaja Salman further said that teaching of the special children is a difficult task and the teachers who are accepted this challenge are praiseworthy.

He expressed these views while addressing the annual prize distribution of Special Education Centre, Ravi Town near Ali Park, here on Thursday. Besides, Malik Riaz MNA, Principal of the School Mrs. Rafia Ashfaq, General Secretary Pakistan Association of the Blind Muhammad Muzaffar, Principal Special Education Centre Sheranwala Gate Muhammad Ayub Butt and a large number of students and their parents also attended the function. On this occasion, special children presented different tableau and showed their talent. The participants encouraged the children by clapping.

On this occasion, Kh. Salman Rafique said that government is paying special attention for the promotion of special education and rehabilitation of special children and buses have also been provided to the centres for the convenient of special children. He said that teachers of special education centres doing a great job as it is very difficult to teach such children. He said that nature has given special talent to these children and we can make them useful citizen by rehabilitating them. He assured that the problems of the teachers and the missing facilities of the centre would be resolved, for this purpose he would discuss the matter with Secretary of Special Education and if needed he will request to Chief Minister Punjab for the solution of their problems, Kh. Salman Rafique added.
