Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that the whole nation including political leadership is moving ahead towards peace through dialogues while some anti-Muslim and anti-human forces want to sabotage peace efforts through cowardly acts like fruit market Islamabad bomb blast. He said that government will continue its efforts for the establishment of durable peace through public support. He said that fruit market bomb blast is a tragic and cowardly act which is highly condemnable.
He expressed these views while talking to media after enquiring after the injured of fruit market Islamabad bomb blast who visited Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Member Provincial Assembly Raja Hanif Advocate, Commissioner Rawalpindi Capt. Retd. Zahid Saeed, concerned authorities and media representatives were also present on the occasion.
The Minister informed that 37 injured persons were brought to Holy Family Hospital out of which three died and eight were discharged after medical aid while four are serious. He said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, best treatment facilities are being provided to the injured and financial assistance will also be given to the injured and the heirs of those who died in the blast. He said that majority of those who died and injured in the blast comprises poor labourers working in the fruit market which proved that anti-human forces are involved in such incidents.
The Minister went to every injured and enquired after him. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N leadership equally shared their grief and best treatment facilities will be provided to them.
Commissioner Rawalpindi, Capt Retd. Zahid Saeed told that he reached immediately on the site of blast and all the hospitals of Rawalpindi were put on high alert as a result of which many precious lives were saved by timely providing medical aid to the injured. He said that four injured are under-treatment at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, one is in serious condition at DHQ Hospital while another injured is under-treatment at Railway hospital.
