Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema has issued instructions that the disciplinary cases should be disposed of at the earliest so that in case of any delay, no official should face any problem. He said that the cases pending for more than one year should be disposed of within a month.
He issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting of provincial secretaries today. He said that no delay or hindrance will be tolerated in fixation of pension. Therefore, all heads of the departments should pay special attention to this matter, he added. Chief Secretary directed that 80 percent pension should immediately be paid to those officials facing inquiries.
Provincial Secretary Finance Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan told that necessary amendments have been made in the relevant rules and regulations of the pension which have simplified the method of payment of pension. He said that now monthly pension of the pensioners will be transferred to their accounts. The Chief Secretary directed provincial secretaries to ensure timely recovery of government dues.
Expressing his satisfaction over the pace of annual development programme, he directed secretaries of the departments falling in red zones to improve the implementation of development programmes.
The Chief Secretary Punjab directed that short term and long term projects should be evolved for the future so that development projects will be completed efficiently.Additional Chief Secretary Sohail Aamir, Home Secretary Azam Suleman, Secretary Information & Culture Momin Agha, Secretary Minerals Dr. Arshad, Secretary Health Ijaz Munir and secretaries of concerned departments attended the meeting. Secretary Law told that all rules and regulations have been placed on website under e-governance.
