Sri Lanka wins first time the ICC T20 World cup 2014

Lahore: Sri Lanka has won first time the ICC T20 World Cup 2014,defeating India with six wickets in eighteenth over. Sri Lanka after winning the toss elected to field and their decision proved good as Lankan bowling contained Strong Indian Batting with a easy target of 130.

No Indian batsman could played free shots except their opening batsman Virat Kohli who scored more than half of the Indian total.

Sri Lanka had to faced a loss only at the score of 5 but later Lankan batsmen chased the target without showing embarrassment .As the Perera hitted a sixer as a victory shot all the team members entered into the ground and showed great respect to their ongoing world class batsman Sangakkara who’s presence at the crease was a symbol of victory for them. talent. SangaKKara declared man of the match for his unbeaten 52 runs on 35 balls.

Virat Kohli declared man of the tournament for his constant performance in the ICC T20 World Cup.

India batsman Virat Kohli was today named as the player of the tournament at the conclusion of the ICC World Twenty20 Bangladesh 2014 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur today.

Kohli was the unanimous choice of the select group of experts* following his exceptional form with the bat. In the lead up to the final, the 25-year-old scored 242 runs in five matches at an average of 121, including innings of 36 not out against Pakistan, 54 against the West Indies, 57 not out against Bangladesh, 23 against Australia and a match-winning 72 not out against South Africa in the semi-final.

Where as Indian media has declared Yuvraj Singh responsible for defeat for his slow batting who could made 10 runs on 21 balls.
