Bilal Yaseen visits Sahulat Bazars

Lahore: Chairman Price Control Committee Bilal Yaseen has said that the government is pursuing a comprehensive policy for keeping the prices of daily use items at reasonable level under which district administration has been directed to take action against profiteers.Minister Food 6-4-14

He said this while talking to journalists during his visit to Sahulat and Itwar Bazaars of Kot Abdul Malik, Dehli Gate, Shalimar and Tajpura. DCO Lahore Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi and officers of market committee accompanied him.

The Provincial Minister told that due to governmental steps, essential items are available in Sahulat and Itwar Bazaars in abundance at fixed prices. He said that due to out-season of potato, artificial shortage has been created and district administration has been directed to take immediate action against the shopkeepers creating artificial shortage. He directed market committee to keep the potatoes on stalls prominently so that potatoes should be available to the consumers easily.

Bilal Yaseen directed that profiteers should be taken to task. He also visited anti-dengue campaign stall set up by environmental department in these bazaars where staff was distributing anti-dengue pamphlets among the consumers.

Provincial Minister appreciated security arrangements at these bazaars. He directed market committee that no compromise should be made on the quality of essential items. He said that after noon, the prices of vegetables should be reduced.
