Lahore: Hamza Shahbaz Sharif MNA has said that the natural beauty of parks and gardens is being restored through tree plantation for providing healthy and recreational facilities to the people. He said that the government will take all possible steps for making recreational places including Changa Manga attractive for the people.
He said that trees provide pollution free environment. He said that tree plantation campaign will be made a national cause by taking along young generation. He said that flowers, trees, fresh air, birds and greenery are blessings of Almighty Allah and we have to protect these blessings and make natural beauty as part of our life.
He expressed these views while addressing a function held in connection with tree plantation campaign after planting a sapling at Changa Manga, today. He also inaugurated new tram at Changa Manga. He released more than one thousand parrots recovered by Wildlife Department from the people. Hamza Shahbaz also inaugurated website launched by Forest Department. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal, Secretary Forests, Members National and Provincial Assemblies also attended the function.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that the promotion of tourism is the priority of PML-N government as it believes that recreational parks and promotion of healthy activities is the fundamental right of the people. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that a comprehensive plan has been evolved for providing state-of-the-art facilities at Soon Skaser Valley.
He said that Jallo Park and Lahore Safari Zoo are being made attractive places for the people through special measures. He said that tourism resort at Jallo Park is being activated whereas more animals including elephant are being brought at Lahore Safari Zoo. He said that buses for tourists are being plied from Islamabad to Murree. He said that steps are being taken for increasing tram and parking facilities for tourists in Murree.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that after success of metro bus in Lahore, Orange Line Train Service will be started with the cooperation of China in the city.
Hamza Shahbaz said that overcoming energy crisis is essential for providing relief to the citizens. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his team are making untiring efforts to eliminate loadshedding. He said that not only electricity shortage will be overcome within next few years but we will be able to export electricity to other countries.
He also announced setting up of Girls Degree College at Changa Manga and widening and carpeting of approach road from main road to Changa Manga. He also mingled with the students of Punjab University who participated in tree plantation campaign. He also enjoyed the travelling by tram and inspected various stalls set up by wildlife, fisheries and forest departments.
