Hina submits an adjournment motion against setting maid ablaze incident

Lahore: PML-N MPA Hina Parvez Butt has submitted an adjournment motion against domestic violence and incident of setting 14-year-old young domestic worker on fire in Lahore.

In adjournment motion MPA said that a large number of young girls were working as maids to financially assist their families but no protection was being provided them. It was really a tragic and sad incident that 14-year-old maid was tortured by entire family who cut her hair and later also set her ablaze over petty issues.

She said that violence incidents on maids were increasing day by day but no solid steps were taken for curbing these incidents. Now, the time has come to deal such culprits with iron hand who were involved in such shameful acts and punishment for them should be made exemplary for others.
