Bilawal’s address on Bhutto’s anniversary reflected an undemocratic attitude

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch has said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s disgust for the system based on the Quran and the Sunnah under the garb of Taliban’s opposition besides his provocation to the armed forces for an operation, in his address at Z.A. Bhutto’s anniversary reflected an  undemocratic and imprudent attitude.Liaqat Baloch at PU 5-4-14

Talking to the media at the Punjab University on Saturday, he said that Bilawal’s emotional address on the occasion was the need of the PPP and it had been well prepared. However, he said that if dialogue was approved in the case of Sindh and Balochistan, why should it be opposed in the case of FATA and Khyber P.

He said that the JI wanted restoration of peace through dialogue and added that peace in the country was essential for the survival of Pakistan and for getting rid of the US slavery.

Liaqat Baloch underlined the importance of books despite the latest inventions- the computer, web sites, and email, and said that a close association with the books was essential for the growth of academic talent and depth of knowledge.

Later, while addressing a workshop of the Al-Khidmat Foundation at Mansoora, Liaqat Baloch deplored that billions of rupees had been released from the public exchequer in the name of Benazir Income Support Programme,but the poor and the deserving people remained deprived.

He said that the National Disaster Management was confined to big cities, and the objective before it was not the service of the affected but only to prepare a report. He said, if the armed forces and the private welfare bodies were not in the field, the government would be least interested in providing relief to the calamity hit people.

He said the services of the Al-Khidmat Foundation were recognized by all and sundry, and it had play an active role in providing relief to the people in Thar.

Liaqat Baloch said that the Milli Yakjehti Council was making every effort to unite the Pakistani people on common grounds and to bury the feelings of hatred and religious and sectarian biases. The Council was holding an international Ittehad e Ummah conference in Islamabad on April 15. Eminent scholars from different countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kashmir and Palestine had been invited at the moot. .
