Lahore: Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman has said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is keen to provide best medical facilities to the people and setting up state of the art human organs transplant centre, equipped with international standard’s medical facilities. He said that Punjab Government’s vision is to set up medical research centers where all latest facilities should be available so that the Pakistani talent working abroad could be attracted and the Pakistani doctors and researchers who want to serve their country, to be facilitated.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting in Punjab House Islamabad. Besides, Secretary Health Punjab Dr. Ejaz Munir, Principal Rawalpindi Medical College and Allied Hospitals Prof. Dr. Umer, member Planning & Development Department Dr. Abid Bodla, President Pakistan Kidney Institute Prof, Dr. Saaed Akhtar, Special Secretary Finance Punjab Ahmad Raza Sarwar and other officers attended the meeting. Khawaja Salman Raffique further said that Punjab Government would facilitate such doctors and medical experts who are working abroad and want to serve their motherland. He said that due to successful polices and steps taken by the present government, medical and treatment facilities in public sector hospitals have been increased manifold as compared to past. He said that on the directions of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, government is taking revolutionary steps for the promotion of medical research and provision of latest medical facilities to the people of province.
Khawaja Salman Raffique also stressed the need of controlling dengue issue and said that as the atmosphere has been changed, dengue breeding would start, therefore, people have to adopt preventive measures and participate in anti-dengue campaign launched by the government. He said that the concerned departments are already alert to control the dengue. He said that for defeating dengue, government departments as well as every citizen have to play his role for this noble cause.
