Law regarding wedding ceremonies will be implemented strictly across the province

Lahore: The law regarding one dish and timings of wedding ceremonies is being implemented strictly across the province and all district administrations are fully mobilized in this regard.

Under Marriage Act 2000, 37 cares were registered in different districts on violation of one dish and timings of wedding ceremonies during last seven days.

These included seven cases in Gujrat, four in Vehari, three each in Lahore and Rawalpindi, two each in Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur whereas one each in Bhakkar, Sargodha, Bahawalnagar, Layyah, Khanewal and Attock.

It may be mentioned that the Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has issued instructions to take action without any discrimination over violation of marriage act.
