Lahore: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Livestock, Chaudhary Muhammad Arshad Jatt has said that Pakistan is an agrarian country and it has full potential to enhance exports by promoting livestock and dairy sectors. He said that Pakistan is the 4th largest milk producing country of the world.
Muhammad Arshad Jatt said that the investors can earn huge profit by investing in livestock and dairy sectors. He said that not only local needs will be met through promoting livestock and dairy sectors but foreign exchange can also be earned through their exports in the world market. He said that cultivation of fodder should immediately be started for summer season.
He said that overcoming the shortage of green fodder is essential for abundance production of milk and meat. He said that the farmers can cultivate “Jawar” and “Sadabahar” green fodder from the end of March to end of May.
