No training of terrorism was imparted in Pakistani madrassas: CH Shujaat

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Ch Shujat Hussain has said that no training of terrorism was imparted in Pakistani madrassas nor any terrorist was studying in deeni madaris, arresting foreign students without any proof was wrong.

He said in a statement issued here today that during our tenure we had got all foreign students studying in all deeni madaris verified and no proofs were available to indicate foreign students were involved in terrorism in Pakistan. He said that students from Islamic countries come here to seek religious education and not for terrorism. As such to cast any doubt on them or harass them improperly was not correct.

Ch Shujat Hussain further said that Pakistan was viewed in Islamic countries quite respectfully and that was why other countries and friendly countries’ students come here to study. He said these students on return to their countries highlight such identity of Pakistan which remains on their minds all their life, these students were the ambassadors of their respective countries as such it was not good to doubt them without any reason.
