PTI starts politics on Thar issue

PTI Punjab President Ejaz Ch on a press conference said that  it was shameful that relief work in Thar was still very slow as more children were dying every day due to non availability for clean water food and medication he said that the PTI that relief Head Thashfeen Safdar, ISF and Youth volunteers of PTI had specifically collected all these funds for ensuring the availability of clean water to the sick and deprived people of Thar and food items and medicines were 3.5 million were also being donated along with cash.The volunteer of PTI Punjab have in the last two weeks collected 6.1 million rupees for ensuring water availability and development in the Thar relief work, he added.

He said that these volunteers are going to go with these good themselves and take them to PTI Sindh who has opened up relief camps in all major areas of Thar to ensure that these goods reach the deserving people and are not sold by the corrupt and inefficient administration of the Sindh govt.

PTI Punjab Gen. Sec Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the govt. must pay attention to Cholistan as well as Rana Sanaullah is constantly saying that Cholistan is not as bad as Thar but the conditions in Cholistan are likely to become as Thar if the govt. attitude remains as indifferent as it is right now. She said that it is because the famine is neglected for the long time that it reached this stage and she demanded that the govt. announces emergency measure for the Cholistan as well.She said that outbreak of dyrea and dysentery are killing diseases for children for Thar and Cholistan who are already under nourished.

PTI Punjab Thar Relief Camp Head Tashfeen Safdar said that it was a collective effort from PTI members from Gujrat, Gujranwala and all over Pakistan and it was an effort of the last ten days. She said that this effort will be continued as PTI is always renowned by its welfare program and was the first ever political party in the history of Pakistan who launched relief programs for floods and earthquakes.

After the press conference PTI Punjab Local govt. committee meeting held at PTI Punjab Secretariat. The meeting was presided by President Ejaz Ch.  Yasmin Rashid, Andleeb Abbas, Ch Ishfaq, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Sobia Kamal, Sadia Saif, Nadeem Qadir Bhindar, Aslam Ghuman, Noor Khan Bhabha, Sardar Kamil Umar, Barrister Bakhtiar Qasoori, Shahida Begum and Mehmood Joiya attended the meeting.
