LAHORE, March 10: Member National Assembly & Chairman Steering Committee Sports Board Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated a 4-day industrial exhibition at Expo Centre under Punjab Youth Festival 2014 today. Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairperson Standing Committee on Tourism Tahiyya Noon, Provincial Secretary Commerce & Industry Irfan Ali, MD Punjab Small Industries Corporation Tariq Ahmed Butt and DG Sports Usman Anwar accompanied him. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan inspected all stalls in the industrial exhibition and appreciated the quality of the products.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s progress and prosperity depends upon engineering industry. He said that developed nations are ruling the world through development of the manufacturing industry whereas we have only succeeded in meeting our food requirements from our fertile land. He said that the efforts to bring about an industrial revolution in Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would soon succeed. He said that day is not far off when Pakistan would not be compelled to export one lakh cotton bales only for acquiring a few computerized machines and military weapons. Referring to Pakistan’s progress in missile technology, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistani industrialists are capable to produce latest machinery for serving the humanity.
Incharge Minister Punjab Youth Festival Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Punjab Youth Festival is a movement to bring forward the talented youth of the province. He said that Pakistani youth has proved that they can compete with their counterparts of any country of the world and are even ahead of them in positive activities. The exhibition will continue till March 13 and a musical evening will also be held daily at 7:30 pm at Expo Centre Johar Town, Lahore.
