Masses to prepare themselves to counter dengue:Bilal Yaseen

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yasin has said that a healthy nation is a guarantee to strong and progress Pakistan. He said that dengue can be eliminated by participation of maximum number of masses in the campaign against dengue.

He stated this while addressing an anti-dengue seminar held at Town Hall, here today. Officers of Local Government Department and a large number of participants were present on the occasion.

Bilal Yasin said that as a result of efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, dengue has been controlled to a large extent resulting in saving precious human lives. He said that we have to be well prepared to eliminate dengue larva at the start of summer season next month in collaboration with anti-dengue experts and politicians.

Bilal Yasin appealed the youth to pay special attention towards cleanliness in their houses and surrounding areas. He said that the role of social organizations in the war against dengue is very important, therefore, they should use all available resources in this regard. The Minister said that role of house wives is also important to get rid of this menace. He said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, the officers of all the concerned departments and towns have been made functional to play their effective role to check dengue larva growth.
