Lahore: PML-N MPA Hina Parvez Butt has delivered a pre-budget speech in Punjab Assembly here on Friday.
MPA said that intellectual infrastructure was also vital as well as physical infrastructure. It was needed to be focused on education for the promotion of intellectual infrastructure of the society. Punjab Government should ensure that an average student could get free education from primary to higher education and new post graduate colleges and universities should be built in other cities of Punjab especially for women at districts level. We needed to control our population as well as promotion of education in the country.
She gave this statement in the House of the Punjab Assembly during Friday’s session while delivering her speech in the pre-budget debate.
She stressed that new hostels should be built for working women who come to Lahore for employment from rural areas of Punjab and for encouragement they should have salary package equal to men if not higher. Workers minimum wages should be Rs.15, 000 in coming Punjab Budget 2014-15.
While addressing in the house MPA added that huge amount should be allocated for life insurance scheme for the citizens of Punjab.
Concluding the speech Hina butt stressed that Women MPAs on reserve seat should also be allocated development funds without any discrimination, so they could participate in the development of their particular areas.
