Lahore: CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has announced to abolish the quota allocated for overseas during the allotment and balloting of plots and houses in Faisalabad and Sahiwal Ashiyana Housing Schemes, the participants lauded the decision of the Chief Minister with clapping.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that every low income person irrespective of colour and creed has the right over plots and houses in Ashiyana Housing Schemes. The Chief Minister while announcing the postponement of balloting and allotment of plots and houses in Faisalabad and Sahiwal Ashiyana Housing Schemes said that two different methods have been adopted for balloting and allotment in today’s function, upon which, a committee is being constituted which will reconsider the entire process and the allotment and balloting will again be conducted soon before media.
Shahbaz Sharif said that all concerned authorities have done this job with sincerity, however, he considers that a uniform method should be adopted. A man present in the function asked the Chief Minister to press “alif” in the computer, upon which, the Chief Minister in a pleasant mood said that there is no “alif” in it, therefore, you should tell any word or figure in English.
The Chief Minister expressed his indignation over concerned officials for not making complete preparations for the function.
