Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met chief pilot of his helicopter Col. Retd. Muhammad Safdar and condoled the death of his brother Rafaqat Hussain Awan, Additional Session Judge who was martyred in Islamabad katchery terrorism incident. Provincial Minister for Environment Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada also accompanied the Chief Minister.
Sympathizing with Col. Retd. Muhammad Safdar, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the incident of terrorism in Islamabad katchery. The Chief Minister said that he was deeply grieved over the loss of precious human lives including Additional Session Judge Rafaqat Hussain. He said that terrorist activities of all kind are unacceptable and reiterated that terrorism and extremism will be eliminated.He said that incidents of terrorism cannot defeat the determination of Pakistani nation.
Shahbaz Sharif offered Fateha for the departed souls of Additional Session Judge Rafaqat Hussain Awan and other persons martyred in Islambad incident. The Chief Minister while sympathizing with Col. Retd. Muhammad Safdar prayed that may Allah Almighty grant courage and strength to the bereaved family of Shaheed Additional Judge Rafaqat Hussain Awan to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
