Lahore: President Punjab Ejaz Ch addressing the by elections pp-81 teams aid that it was shameful how all records of rigging had been broken by pp-81 by PML-N. He said that the PML-N govt. had used criminal violence against the candidate Rai Taimoor Bhatti as they did a fake FIR on his two cousins and threatened the whole family so that affective campaigning and polling day management could not take place. He said that abuse of development fund was made just before the elections which despite PTI’s letter to the ECP went on without any legal action. He said that voter list were also tempered and many people who came to vote on the voting day could not find their polling station according to the list they have.
Gen. Sec. Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that female voting was specially reduced due to male polling agents sitting in many female voting polling booths she said that due to the harassment done by the police and by the govt. machinery over there many female voters were not able to come out and vote. She said that this was a classic case of psychological harassment and a clear violation of all campaigning rules. She said that the police was used to make it difficult for the voters to cast vote as they were checked and rechecked multiple times without any reason.
Sec. Information Andleeb Abbas said that in many polling stations the PTI caught the polling agent stamping fake votes of which all the evidence and the fake votes have been submitted to the ECP and the media was also apprised about it. She said that in the polling stations that were far and remote the media was not directed and thus a lot of those far of polling stations have massive rigging without any check. She said that despite fake votes and massive rigging the difference between the PML-N candidate and PTI Candidate was marginal. She said that the ECP should introduce the biometric system of polling in an effort to counter the rigging. She said if these steps are not taken PTI would come on the streets and make sure that the govt. and the ECP are forced to change and reform the election process.
