Lahore: Pakistan players will lock horns against the players of neighbouring countries in the Pakistan-India Punjab Games which will explode into action at different venues of the city. The two-day Punjab Games will be held under the banner of the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014 and different events will be held at various venues of the city. Punjab Stadium will host the events of Mud-Wrestling, Tug-Of-War And Kabaddi (Men And Women) While The Bodybuilding, Arm-Wrestling (Men And Women) And Weightlifting events will be staged at Alhamra Cultural Complex and the event of mat-wrestling will be organised at Gymnasium Hall NPSC.
The Indian Delegation led by Bophinder Singh has already arrived the city and preparing well for the clash of titans. Talking to the reporters, Indian kabaddi player Sukhveer Singh said that kabaddi was the famous sport of the subcontinent and it had been getting popularity with each passing day. “The kabaddi events will not only bring the people of both the neighbouring countries close but also provide the sport lovers to witness thrilling encounters.” The other Indian players termed all the arrangements of the Games satisfactory and added that the competitions would not only provide them chances to amuse the people of both the Nations but also help us in winning the hearts of Pakistan people.
On the other hand, Pakistani players seemed very confident during the training camp and they claimed that they had been prepared well for the Mega Event and they would deliver their best to earn laurels for the country
