Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was the chief guest at a colorful recreational programme “Rang-e-Lahore” arranged by Parks & Horticulture Authority in connection with Jashan-e-Baharan at Alharma Hall, today. 578 children of different schools of Lahore presented tableaus on the tunes of national songs and regional folk music.
The children of The Educators, Saher Campus Nawab Town Lahore and the girl students of Johar Foundation (girls campus) Faisal Town Lahore performed outstandingly and won the first position.
These girl students highlighted the true color of Punjab culture wearing colorful dresses and turbines. The Deaf and Dumb children of different educational centers for special children as well as children suffering from Cereberal Palsy also sang songs. The children of Lahore Schools presented tableaus on different topics. The girl students of The Trust School Azam Town sang a Kashmiri song which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Rana Mashhood Ahmed during his address lauded the efforts of children and congratulated Director General PHA Mian Shakeel Ahmed on arranging Rang-e-Lahore. He said that Pakistan needs enthusiastic and spirited people who could cope with the challenges faced by the country. He said that the journey of progress and development has started under the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the day is not far off when Pakistan will emerge as a strong country.
