Preparations underway for breathtaking competitions of Pakistan India Punjab Games

Lahore: The Pakistan Men’s Kabaddi players have sped up their preparations for the upcoming breathtaking competitions of Pakistan India Punjab Games. The second phase of Pakistan Kabaddi Team camp training got underway under the supervision of head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt at Punjab Stadium on Monday.

Pakistan’s Leading Kabaddi Players Babar Gujjar, Lala Obaidullah, Shafiq Chishti, Shahzad Ahmed Dogar, Khalid Mehar, Saifullah, Matloob Ahmed, M. Rizwan, Waqas Gujjar, Mohsin Naseem and Khalid Ahmed are flexing their muscles for the nail-biting encounters with their Indian opponents.

Talking to media, Coach Ghulam Abbas Butt told that all the players of National Team were in good form and fitness. “Our players are being trained in two practice sessions daily and the flaws of their game are being removed through practice matches,” he informed. Butt further told that they have great expectations from Babar Gujjar and Lala Obaidullah. “Our raiders and defenders are ready to tackle their Indian rivals,” he resolved.

To a question regarding Pakistan’s women kabaddi team, Butt said that the national women kabaddi players were also quite determined to give tough time to their opponents. “It’s true that our women team suffered defeat in the Semifinal of Kabaddi World Cup but at their home ground, they will try to win,” he added.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Tug-Of-War Players are also getting training for forthcoming Punjab Games. The organizing secretary of Pakistan India Punjab Games and camp commandant Waqas Akbar informed the journalists that Pakistan will clash India in Kabaddi, Mat Wrestling And Tug Of War Events during the Pakistan India Punjab Games. “The Pakistan players are well prepared for the tough competition and the sports fans on either side will be having full entertainment,” he expressed his hope.

The Indian players are scheduled to reach Lahore through Wahga on 1^st March  and will take part in the grand opening of Pakistan India Punjab Games the same evening.
