Constitution is Islamic but government acts are unislamic: Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that although the country’s constitution was Islamic and the state religion was Islam, yet the governments’ policies and actions so far had been in conflict with the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.

Talking to different delegations at Mansoora, he said that the constitution and laws were not show pieces, instead they were meant to be enforced and implemented.

Liaqat Baloch said that the policies being pursued for the last twelve years had failed and it was high time to revise these.He further said that the issue of terrorism could be solved only through dialogue.
