Nandipur project will start producing electricity from May: MPA Hina Parvez Butt

Lahore: The completion of Nandipur Power project, ahead of scheduled time, is a great achievement of the PML-N government and reflects its leadership’s commitment towards steering the country of crippling crises.

The Nandipur project will start producing 100MW of electricity from May which is good news for the outages-hit people, said PML-N MPA Hina Parvez Butt here on Monday.

She said that the credit went to Punjab CM Shahbaz who struggled round the clock for completion of project. The MPA pointed out that the Nandipur project started in 2005-06 was scheduled to be complete by 2010 but unfortunately due to bad policies of the PPP govt, it could not be completed.

Hina Butt said that the Punjab govt executed the project on war footings and showed to the opponents that it had the capacity to guide the nation towards prosperity. She said that the PML-N services for overcoming energy crisis were laudable.

The MPA said that the government was well aware of problems being confronted by the business community due electricity shortage and striving hard to mitigate these sufferings.
