Lahore Defeated Kasur In Touch Ball Final

Lahore: DHA One outplayed Walton Club to clinch the Divisional Level Rugby title at the Defence Sports Complex. Divisional Convener Sports MPA Mian Naseer Ahmad was the chief guest at the occasion and also distributed prizes among the winners. Daud Gul was top scorer for the winners.

At Punjab Stadium, Lahore defeated Kasur in the PYF Divisional Level Touch Ball final. Lahore prevailed over their rivals by the difference of four goals. Kasur team struck nine goals but Lahore offered some tremendous fighting qualities and responded with 13 goals. Shafiq netted five goals, Altaf Hussain 2 and Wajid contributed one goal for the winning team Sahir and Waleed scored six and three goals respectively for the losing side. Pakistan Touch Ball Association Secretary Ch Zahoor Ahmed and Punjab Touch Ball Association president Sayed Tahir Shah were the guests of honour on the occasion and distributed prizes among the prominent performers.

Lahore thrashed Sheikhupura by nine wickets to clinch the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014 Lahore Division’s Cricket Hardball event trophy here at the Iqbal Sports Complex. Sheikhupura District, batting first, scored 117 runs in 20 overs while in reply, Lahore achieved the target in 13.4 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Zahid Alam was named player of the match. District Sports Officer (DSO) Malik Waqar Ahmad was chief guest at the occasion. He lauded the passion and enthusiasm of the players which they had been showing during the Punjab Youth Festival.
