Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law and Local Government, Rana Sanaullah has said that Red Crescent has never ignored the aspect of human service either during peace or war. He said that Red Crescent is guardian to international law of human rights which makes it prominent among other institutions.
He expressed these views on the occasion of inauguration of pictorial exhibition under the aegis of international committee on Red Crescent at Alhamra Arts Council, here today.
Deputy Head of the Mission Red Crescent Pakistan Uri Chef ranker, prominent columnist & Chairman Alhamra Arts Council Ata ul Haq Qasmi and people belonging to various walks of life were present on the occasion. Rana Sanaullah said that Red Crescent has not only completed 150 years as an institution but human service as well. He said that Red Crescent has proved through its silent and reformative act to the countries known as champions of peace and warriors that war is solution to no problem. He said that Red Crescent has always at the forefront in the welfare of human beings either it is a matter of war prisoners or injured, search of missing persons during war or the rehabilitation of homeless affectees.
Rana Sanaulalh said that on the one hand Red Crescent played an exemplary role in the wars of 1965 and 1971 and on the other hand its services for the rehabilitation of earthquake and flood affected Pakistanis cant’ be forgotten. He said that Pakistani people and government of Punjab have great value for the efforts of Red Crescent. The Minister appreciated the efforts of Red Crescent depicted on pictorial exhibition.
