Lahore: Punjab Minister for Women Development Begum Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din attended the function arranged by Japan Embassy in Islamabad on the occasion of 80th Birth Anniversary of the King of Japan Akihito. The Provincial Minister Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din extended message of greetings & felicitations on behalf of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Government to the Japanese Ambassador in Islamabad H. E. Hiroshi Inomata on the 80th Birth Anniversary of King of Japan Akihito.
On this occasion, the Minister said that Japan would continue progressing under the sagacious leadership and guidance of King of Japan His Highness Akihito and would play its vibrant role in comity of nations. She added that Pakistan and Japan have close relations and bonds of friendship since their independence and have mutual ties and close collaboration in the fields of economic development, trade, culture and bilateral cooperation. She said that Japan has helped Pakistan in all test times and moments of difficulties like earthquake and floods. Begum Hameeda Waheed-Ud-Din further said that several projects have also been completed with the cooperation of Japan in Punjab.
Japanese Ambassador in Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata on this occasion thanked Provincial Minister for extending message of felicitations and greetings on behalf of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Government on the Birth Anniversary of Emperor Akihito and said that existing bonds of friendship between Japan and Pakistan would grow stronger and strengthened in the years to come and economic trade and cooperation between both the countries would be further expanded.
