Aleem Khan lashes government of reducing the powers of local bodies

Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf has strongly criticized the decision of Punjab Government of reducing the powers of local bodies and changing jurisdiction of LDA and called it reflection of the mind-set of Nawaz League. PTI Lahore President Abdul Aleem Khan while addressing a party meeting said that present rulers can never tolerate the devolution of power.

irst they were reluctant to hold local bodies elections and then planning to make them powerless and keep every option in their own hands that was the reason that chief executive of the province has been made the chairman of a development authority. He said  that Tehrik-e-Insaaf was carefully monitoring the situation and option of going to the Court may be used against the unlawful activities of the Punjab Government.

Abdul Aleem Khan further said that in the elections of 30^th March, PTI would contest with full preparation and including Lahore all over the province it would be on the victory stand.  He said that the masses were fully fed-up with the ‘performance’ of the present government of the last 6 months and on 22^nd December a record public protest would be launched in Lahore on the price hike and worse law and order situation of the province.
