Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif attended a function held in connection with International Day of Special Persons at Alhamra Hall today. The Chief Minister showed great affection to the special children at the ceremony which lasted more than one hour and took keen interest in the skits presented by special children.
Shahbaz Sharif applauded the children by standing from his seat. Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that special children are like moon and stars and they are much better than those who are involved in hoarding and profiteering. Shahbaz Sharif appreciated the humanitarian services of Managing Director Punjab Welfare Trust for Special Children Dr. Amjad Saqib and said that he believes that Dr. Amjad Saqib was born only to serve the humanity.
Criticizing the negligence and wrong policies of former dictator and rulers in energy sector, he said that they wasted thirteen precious years of the nation but Pakistan Muslim League-N government revived Nandipur Power project which will start generating electricity from May 2014. Addressing the participants of the function, the Chief Minister said that economy of the country will strengthen due to the positive measures taken by the government and development projects will be completed on time.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amjad Saqib said that Shahbaz Sharif has deep love and affection for special children.
