Lahore: 23rd Chief of Air Staff Challenge Polo Cup 2013 concluded at Peshawar Polo Club today. President Bodyguards won the final match by defeating 11 Corps Headquarters with 06 goals to 4.5 goals. Air Marshal Asim Suleman, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff ( Administration), Pakistan Air Force was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He gave away prizes amongst the players and awarded the Chief of the Air Staff Challenge Cup to the winning team.
The tournament commenced on 27 November, 2013 and 05 teams (PAF Eagle, PAF Falcon, Frontier Corps Headquarters, 11 Corps Headquarters and President Bodyguards) participated in the tournament. High ranking military and civil officials and a large number of polo enthusiasts witnessed the match.
Chief of the Air Staff Challenge Cup Polo Tournament was introduced in 1985 and ever since it has been a regular feature in the Sports Calendar of the provincial capital. Arranging such tournaments not only provides thrilling entertainment to the masses, but also projects positive image of the country.
