Pakistani elite show solidarity with Aids patients

Salman Rafiq-1Lahore: A function was held at Race Course Park Lahore in connection with World HIV/Aids Day for expressing solidarity with Aids patients.

The function was arranged in collaboration with Punjab Aids Control Programme and Youth Council for Anti-Drugs. The objective of the function was to create awareness among the people regarding HIV/Aids in order to save their lives from this disease.

Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique, President PML-N Lahore Pervaiz Malik MNA, Shaista Pervaiz Malik MNA, Director Punjab Aids Programme Dr.Salman Shahid, Ch. Shahbaz MPA, Bao Akhtar, Farzana Butt, MD Tourism Habib ur Rehman Gillani, Syed Zulfiqar, various NGOs, scouts and a large number of people attended the function.

One thousand lanterns of hope were released for expressing solidarity with the patients of HIV/Aids. The artists of PTV presented a programme and the audience highly appreciated their performance.
