Lahore: Members National and Provincial Assemblies of various districts met Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today and apprised him of the progress of ongoing schemes and development problems of their respective areas.
Talking to assembly members, Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the service to the masses is the pivot of politics of Pakistan Muslim League-N. He said that Punjab government is spending billions of rupees on provision of education, health and other basic facilities to the masses. He said that PML-N is determined to bring the country and the nation out of quagmire of problems.
The Chief Minister said that serious steps are being taken for coping with the challenges like terrorism and energy crisis being faced by the country. He stressed upon assembly members to play their effective role for successfully implementing welfare programmes of Punjab government. He said that assembly members should keep close liaison with the people and utilize all energies for resolving their problems.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the elected representatives should also play their due role in ensuring availability of essential items in the markets and their sale at fixed rates. Those who called on the Chief Minister included Azhar Qayyum Nahra, Haji Mudasar Qayyum Nahra, Malik Sultan Mehmood Hanjra, Chaudhary Lal Hussain, Khalid Mehmood Jajja, Mian Muhammad Rafiq and Owais Qasim Khan.
