Lahore: Chairman Emergency Response Committee on Dengue Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmed MNA has said that government is utilizing all available resources and manpower for eradication of dengue. However, it is responsibility of the people to clear their houses, he added.
He said this while distributing pamphlets among the people regarding preventive measures against dengue in various areas of Samanabad Town for creating anti-dengue awareness, here today. Officers and officials of TMA were also present. He said that people should keep their houses clean and besides anti-dengue spray behind the curtains should not allow accumulate water in their houses.
Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmed said that dengue is a collective problem which could be rid of through team work. He also visited dengue ward of Jinnah Hospital and inquired after the patients. Father of a female student and dengue patient told that there is a need of conducting spray in private educational academies, upon which Mehar Ishtiaq Ahmed directed TMO and Deputy District Officer Health to take immediate steps in this regard. He also directed AMS Jinnah Hospital Dr. Shahid Saeed to spare no effort in providing all possible treatment facilities and medicines to dengue patients.
