Lahore: Chairman Samanabad Emergency Response Committee on Dengue Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad MNA has directed the anti dengue teams to put a mark at the doors and walls of the houses where anti-dengue surveillance, fogging and spray has been completed so that the teams monitoring their performance could complete the process of verification.
He said this while presiding over an anti-dengue meeting, here today. Town Municipal Officer Imtiaz Awan and officers of other concerned departments were present on the occasion. He said that such houses which were found locked or their residents were away during anti-dengue campaign should be rechecked and anti-dengue process be completed.
TMO Samanabad told that 103 places were checked today and three junkyards have been sealed for not implementing the publicized preventive measures against dengue. He said that the water of two water tanks in Jinnah Colony where dengue larvae was found have been drained out. He further informed that 3500 anti dengue pamphlets were distributed in the town limits today.
Earlier, Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad MNA visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital and inquired after male and female dengue patients. He also inquired from the attendants of the patients about the medical facilities being provided by the hospital administration to the patients. He also advised the patients to follow preventive measures against dengue in their houses. He directed Administrator Sheikh Zayed Hospital Dr. Akbar to spare no effort in the treatment of patients, especially those suffering from dengue.
