Sh. Rasheed is a self-proclaimed son of Rawalpindi :Rana Sana

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law & Local Government, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that indiscriminate action will be taken against the elements involved in Rawalpindi tragedy and evidence is being collected in the light of which arrests will be made.

While talking talking to media at Punjab Assembly Rana Sana said that mobile recordings of the speech of the Khateeb of the mosque have been obtained. Government is determined to reconstruct the affected mosque and Madina market,he added.

He said that fact finding commission has started its work and in the light of its initial report, postings and transfers are being made at administrative level. He made an appeal to judicial commission to complete its report within thirty days so that it could provide guidance in the investigation process.

Rana Sanaullah said that the government will allocate funds for the construction of Madina market in the light of the report of the committee which is assessing losses in Rawalpindi tragedy. He said that media, traders’ community and ulema acted in a responsible manner in the wake of Rawalpindi incident and helped the administration to control the situation and maintain atmosphere of harmony and peace.

He said that the self-proclaimed son of Rawalpindi Sh. Rasheed should not use this tragic incident to promote his selfish ends. He said that Sh. Rasheed had the opportunity to win two seats first time in his life but he gave the ticket to his nephew. He said that Sh. Rasheed has no right to raise hue and cry over family politics. He said that Sh. Rasheed is known for his bogus predictions and ominous statements and he should first try to search his soul.

Rana Sanaullah strongly dispelled the impression that police and administration helped any particular sectarian group and described it as an extremely damaging propaganda. In reply to a question about protest on Friday, Rana Sanaullah said that peaceful protest is right of every one. He said that the government will provide security cover to peaceful protestors.

He said that Mehmood Rasheed who is criticizing Punjab government over Rawalpindi tragedy should remember DG Khan Jail incident. He said that action against Pervez Musharraf under Article-6 is not mere illusion but will prove very effective. He said that the step taken by Gen. Musharraf on November 03, was his personal act and he decided to impose emergency in the country in his capacity as President and Army Chief.
