Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif has telephoned Molana Fazal ur Rehman and requested him to help for restoring peace in Rawalpindi.
Shahbaz Sharif condoles on the deaths of innocent people and assured the Molana for justice.He said judicial inquiry would be conducted of the incident and no one would be spared whoever proved guilty.
Chief Minister requested the Molana Fazal ur Rehman to play his positive role for peace.
According to the sources ,Molana Fazal ur Rehman demanded action against the Police officers who allowed the rioters killing,burning of the properties and arrest of the culprits and said peace could not be restored till the visible action of the government.
According to the spokesman of the Punjab government,Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif contacted the Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman on telephone today and expressed his sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident of Rawalpindi. He assured that judicial inquiry will be conducted into the incident and the persons involved will be dealt with iron hand. He said that if negligence of any administrative or police officer is found, strict action will be taken against him. The Chief Minister appealed Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman to play his national role in this matter.
