Dengue would soon be brought under control:Kh. Ahmed Hasaan

Lahore: Chairman Lahore Transport Company & Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Khawaja Ahmed HasKhawaja Ahmed Hassanaan has said that cleanliness campaign and anti-dengue awareness activities are continuing on priority basis and staff and machinery of Lahore Waste Management Company are fully mobilized in all areas under its control. He said that due to effective steps taken by the Punjab government, dengue would soon be brought under control.

Addressing a meeting regarding anti-dengue campaign, Kh. Ahmed Hasaan said that promotion of public awareness about preventive measures against dengue is of vital importance and the campaign launched for this purpose is continuing vigorously. He said that Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme for ensuring active participation of masses in the drive against dengue and elected representatives, government officers, social mobilizers, NGO representatives and students are paying door to door visits to inform the people about preventive measures against this menace.

Kh. Ahmed Hasaan said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is personally monitoring anti-dengue campaign which is being promoted as a movement. Kh. Ahmed Hasaan further said that special attention is being paid to checking of under-construction buildings and tyre shops for detection and eradication of dengue larvae and besides outdoor surveillance, the process of anti-dengue spray and fogging is also continuing.
