Lahore: Members Provincial Assembly, Bao Akhtar, Mohsin Latif and Rana Tajamal have said that private hospitals of Samnabad Town are bound to provide free treatment to dengue patients and strict action will be initiated against the administration of concerned private hospitals on the complaint of receiving treatment expenses from dengue patients.
They said this while talking to the administrations of the hospitals during their visit to government and private hospitals of Samanabad Town on the direction of Punjab Chief Minister today. They visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Farooq Hospital, Al-Shaafi Hospital and Khan Hospital.
Bao Akhtar, Mohsin Latif and Rana Tajamal directed the hospitals’ administration to immediately set up dengue wards and display banners of free treatment of dengue patients outside the hospitals. They said that all medical services including laboratory tests and treatment should be provided free of cost to dengue patients and no effort should be spared in this regard.
Assembly members expressed their serious indignation over declaring store room as dengue ward by the administration of Farooq Hospital and directed to immediately shift it to any better place. They inquired after the dengue patients at Sheikh Zayed Hospital and directed doctors to provide best possible treatment to the dengue patients.
