Govt to declassified all accords signed with US: Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the nation wants to know about all accords done with the USA during the Prime Minister’s recent visit and the previous govt’s tenure regarding NATO containers passage.

In a statement issued here today, Ch Shujat Hussain said that very large number of about 7.5 lakhs NATO containers have to go out of which 70 per cent will be using soil of Pakistan which means that one container will pass through Pakistani border after every seven minutes whereas about 35 billion dollars worth goods would be carried through these containers. He said the nation should be told how much interests of Pakistan would benefit or suffer loss by this process.

Ch Shujat Hussain further said that the nation should be told about the details of the agreement as to what assurances have been given to the US Government regarding NATO containers passage, what procedure has been evolved and in return of that what terms have been agreed to adding that only after knowing all these details, any line of action can be worked out.
