PTI’s poor show in Lahore against Price Hike

Lahore:  PTI leadership including Provincial President Ejaz Ch , Oppostion Leader Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed, Sec. Information Andleeb Abbas, MNA’s Shafqat Mehmood, Aleem Khan, Khurshid Mehmood Qqasoori, Murad Raas, Mian Aslam Iqbal took out a protest rally against the govt. continuous price hike in the basic cost of living items.

Though PTI leadership claimed to destabilize the government but it could not succeeded to bring out a few hundred workers from their homes to show strength.At one time media people  gathered there were more in number than PTI workers who came there around one hour late than the time given to media for coverage.All the workers and the leaders were in race to make their video first and stood there in front of the cameras.

Dozens of people from Lahore and its adjourning areas participated in this protest carrying placards against inflation and the govt. and chanting slogans of govt. injustice.

Speaking on the occasion Opposition leader Mian Mehmood ur Rashid declared had abundant the province and handed over to his son while he was either in Islamabad or overseas. He said that the govt. had broken all records of inflation and had no intention of fulfilling all the promises they have made of giving relief to the masses.

He stated that in five months what this govt. has done is worse than the five years of PPP govt. he said that govt. was planning further price hike which would completely suffocate the life of the ordinary people. He demanded that the Punjab assembly be immediately requisitioned so that the govt. office bearers could be taken to the task for their anti-poor policies. MNA Shafqat mehmood speaking on the occasion said that this govt. had no plan and vision for economic revival and thus was continuously making policies which were taking the country into deeper mess.

He said that people of Pakistan cannot bear this huge burden of inflation and would come out on the streets on the call of the Chairman Imran Khan who had predicted that these two govt. PML-N and PPP were only with one agenda and that was to make themselves rich and poor people of Pakistan even poorer.

President Punjab Ejaz ch. said that PTI is the only party who has come out on the streets for the people of Pakistan and will not step back on any major issues being drones of inflation. He said that first the prices of meat had become un affordable now even the prices of vegetables and flour is so high that one meal a day has become impossible for the poor man.

He said that the govt. decrease of 48 paisa’s in the price of petrol shows how non serious and indifferent they are to the polite of a common man he announced that PTI will after Muharram continuously protest and demand from govt. that serious actions should be taken to give relief to the people or like the chairman Imran Khan has promised that PTI will come out on the streets and continue mass protest to destabilize the govt. that had completely failed in every area of governance.

Secretary Information Andleeb Abbas said that OGRA had recommended 2rs 50 paisas reduction in petrol prices but the govt. has only passed on 48 paisas of relief to the people and kept 2 rs in their pocket.

She declared that this was a very costly joke that 48 paisas is not even equivalent to the coin. She said that the govt. instead of giving subsidy to the people had to subsidize their foreign trips along with their whole family while the country was going through the most difficult period of its existence.

Ashghar Gujjar, Ch, Khalid Gujjar, Naeem Mir, Nadeem Qadir Bhindar, Usman Hamza, Malik Waqar, Arshad Khan and other members and officer bearers.
