Lahore: Ombudsman Punjab Javed Mahmood has decided to listen to the complaints of the people personally by visiting far flung areas of the province. He will hold open katcheries on Saturday, November 2 in Rajanpur and on Monday, November 4 in Layyah. He will also inspect the educational institutions and offices of various departments in Rajanpur and Layyah. Ombudsman Punjab will visit regional office of Ombudsman in Multan on November 6 and review its performance.
Any affected person can directly submit his complaint to Ombudsman Punjab about the Punjab government departments during open katcheries. Pending pension cases of retired employees of Punjab government or their families, matters relating to GP fund and benevolent fund scholarships can be presented to Ombudsman Punjab. Parents and children can also lodge complaints about missing facilities in government schools, hospitals and police excesses. Complaints can also be lodged directly to Ombudsman Punjab regarding misuse of powers by government officers and redressal of grievances.
Javed Mahmood stressed upon the parents and children to identify the dilapidated condition of schools and educational problems. Ombudsman Punjab said that he has decided to hold open katcheries in far flung areas for those people who cannot visit Ombudsman offices so that their problems could be resolved.
