Ulema to play role for religious harmony and maintenance of law & order: Sahibzada Syed Haroon Sultan

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Sahibzada Syed Haroon Sultan Bukhari has stressed upon Ulema of all schools of thought to play their active role for the promotion of religious harmony, brotherhood, tolerance and maintenance of law and order during Muharram-ul-Harram. He said that mischievous elements would not be allowed to create law and order situation.

He was presiding over a meeting of Ittehad Bain-ul-Muslimeen. Secretary Home, Secretary Auqaf and Ulema from all schools of thought attended the meeting.

Provincial Minister emphasized upon the coordinators to make all possible arrangements for maintaining the atmosphere of tolerance and mutual respect during Muharram-ul-Harram. It was decided in the meeting that Ulema will visit all districts in order to promote religious harmony. The meeting further decided that implementation on the laws regarding use of loud speakers, speeches, congregations and routes of the Majalis will be ensured strictly.
